LeoVegas Group has announced its new Principal Partner deal with the historic British football club Blackpool FC, also known as ‘The Seasiders’. The sponsorship deal entails the LeoVegas logo featuring on the front of all adult first-team shirts for the 2023/24 season. In addition to the front-of-shirt sponsorship, fans visiting the Bloomfield Road Stadium can expect to see the LeoVegas brand featured on pitch-side LED screens and static boards.
The upcoming 2023/24 season will hold special significance as it marks the 100th anniversary of Blackpool FC’s adoption of their signature tangerine colour, and the kit has been designed to commemorate this milestone.
LeoVegas Group’s strategy to boost its brand visibility in the sports arena is demonstrated through its strategic alliances with several prominent European football clubs, such as Champions League finalists FC Internazionale Milano and treble winners Manchester City. Moreover, the group has over the past year solidified its brand presence and its commitment to sports betting through brands such as BetUK and expekt, thereby reinforcing its standing in the igaming industry.
Sam Behar, LeoVegas Director of UK and Sponsorship, shared his enthusiasm about the sponsorship: “We are delighted to announce this sponsorship with ‘The Seasiders’ for the upcoming season. Partnering with a club like Blackpool that has such a long-standing history in the game presents a fantastic opportunity for LeoVegas Group to promote the greatest igaming experience across the United Kingdom. The club and the Group share common values and a desire to grow, and we can’t wait for the season to get underway.”
Echoing Behar’s sentiments, Jonty Castle, Blackpool Football Club’s Chief Operating Officer, welcomed the partnership with LeoVegas: “We are thrilled to welcome LeoVegas Group on board as a new Principal Partner ahead of the upcoming season. To be associated with LeoVegas – a globally recognised brand – on the front of all first-team and replica adult shirts is an exciting opportunity for the Club, and provides the potential for greater international exposure.”
